Lee Seung Gi


Lee Seung Gi (Korean: 이승기, Hanja: 李昇基), born on January 13, 1987, is a K-pop singer. He debuted at the age of 17 on June 18, 2004 when he was still a high school student. "Because You're My Girl", his debut single, was a very popular ballad and created a "liking older women" syndrome in South Korea. In the 2004 MBC Music Awards, he won the "Best New Artist" award. He also won the award for "Best Male Artist" in the 2005 MKMF Awards with his song "White lie" from his 4th album Story of Separation. Lee Seung Gi was a regular guest on SBS's X-Man. After the show ended he debuted as an actor on the daily drama The Infamous Chill Sisters (소문난 칠공주) and appeared on various variety shows. He is now a permanent member on KBS's 1 Night, 2 Days show, part of the network's Happy Sunday lineup, debuting on the November 11th episode. Because of this, he was forced to turn down a role in SBS's historical drama Iljimae. He has been cast as the main character of the Korean drama "Shining Inheritance" with the starring korean actress Han Hyo Joo and Moon Chae Won, which will begin to air in April 2009. He plays the role of Sun Woo Hwan, the spoiled grandson of a CEO who eventually matures with the help of Go Eun Sung (Han Hyo Joo) The drama ends July 26th with its 28th episode after two extensions. Although busy with his entertainment work, he was able to graduate from Dongguk University within 4 years, obtaining his degree on February 20, 2009. He also received a special scholarship from the school.

Han Hyo Joo


Han Hyo-joo (born February 22, 1987) is a South Korean actress and model affiliated with Fantom Entertainment Group. She made her debut in the sitcom Nonstop 5.

She joined the ranks as a prominent Pan-Asian star due to the rising popularity of Spring Waltz (the fourth and final installment of Yoon Suk-ho's season drama series, following Autumn Fairy Tale, Winter Sonata and Summer Scent) in other Asian countries, including Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore.

The film called Ad-lib Night (a subtle drama by Lee Yoon-ki) follows a young single woman who rediscovers herself through an eerie overnight encounter with strangers. The film, in which she has the starring role, premiered in November 2006. She was then chosen for the title role in a daily soap opera called 하늘만큼 땅만큼 ("Like the Heavens, Like the Land), on KBS in January 2007.

Han Hyo-joo was then cast in the SBS drama Iljimae[2], which also stars Lee Jun Ki, Lee Young Ah, and Park Shi Hoo.

Her latest film, Ride Away, debuted in the Jeonju International Film Festival in 2008.

In 2009, Han Hyo-joo starred as the lead actress in the highly successful SBS drama, Shining Inheritance, along with Lee Seung Gi. The drama's popularity, with a peak viewership rating of 47.1% in South Korea, has increased her visibility in the Korean media and popularity as an entertainment personality. Since the drama's conclusion, she has experienced a sharp rise in interest for endorsement deals and media requests for interviews.[3]

Following her success on Shining Inheritance, Han Hyo-joo was slated to assume the lead female role in the upcoming KBS2 drama, Chuno. However, she withdrew from the role prior to production allegedly due to issues relating to her management and salary.[4]

Han Hyo-joo will also star in 2009's collaborative Korean-Japanese telecinema production, Heaven's Postman.[5] The drama also features Kim Jaejoong[6] from TVXQ.

SHINING INHERITANCE

Go Eun Sung's life is similar to Cinderella's. After her father died, her step-mother, Baek Sung Hee, took away all of her assets and her younger brother, Eun Woo, suddenly disappears without a trace. Despite this, Eun Sung preservers and works really hard to fulfill her dreams. When the CEO of a food company, Jang Sook Ja, suffers amnesia and can't remember who she is Eun Sung takes her in. However, Eun Sung does not know that she is the grandmother of Sun Woo Hwan, the man who she switched bags with at the airport. How will their constant bickering lead them to realize that they care more about each other than they let on?
